The Album.

The band's second effort, After the Air Raid, is the culmination of nearly three years of intensive compositional labor. Engineered by Colin Marston, and released on Cuneiform Records in 2009, the music is hard hitting and complex, while also at times subtle, dark and brooding. The post-apocalyptic watercolor themes by Pete Smith tie it all together, making After the Air Raid a "record with lasting depth".

The Band.

After forming Zevious in 2006 as a straight ahead jazz trio, guitarist Mike Eber, drummer Jeff Eber, and bassist John DeBlase immediately broke free of the bonds of tradition. Zevious began combining progressive rock grooves, tech metal, free improv, and complex song forms to create a unique compositional style. Equally influenced by vintage progressive acts such as Magma and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, polymetric metal like Meshuggah, and the improvisational approach of Vijay Iyer and Ben Monder, Zevious is a distinctive fusion band in the burgeoning punk-jazz movement.
